Day 10: calangute, goa

Day 9: another day on a train...
The shrill voice of the chai wala roused me from a deep slumber; it was barely morning! From my perch on the top bunk I could see the shroud of mist that had cloaked the train for the night receding, revealing fields of cotton n maize glistening in the early morning sun. We passed over rivers n plateaus; seeing diversity which made India so incredible. Diversity wasn’t only in landscape; with every station we stop at, the language, culture and food seem to change drastically too!
Breakfast was a simple affair; egg pau (sort of an egg burger) n tea… the rest of the day whizzed past in a whirlwind of activity n idling; getting down at stations, running to catch the train, n moments spent near the doorway, gazing at the passing scenery, trying to commit each n every place to memory…
